Today we reviewed the whole 1-5 lessons while emphasizing on tones and speeds of speech. 你们的作业是： make a audio recording with any audio/video recording software to record ten conversations. You can use the sentences we wrote on the board, or you can create your own. Softwares you can use: Audacity, GarageBand, IMovie etc... Later, you can share with me on Facebook or email as iTune.

We did exercise 5-7 and 5-8 on page 71-72 today. Please finish 5-8 if you have not done in class. We will have a review class next Tuesday. Do NOT forget to bring computer with you. Next Thursday, we will have a quiz on Lesson 5.

We reviewed Lesson 5 by doing lots of reading and speaking practices. We listened together our homework audio portion to make sure you all understood the dialogue. The we read the Supplementary practice reading on Page 69, and then did exercise 5-4, 5-6 during class.

Homework for today: Workbook, Lesson 5, Q 3 and 4. Most of you have turned in Q 1 and Q 2, but if you still haven't, please do it ASAP. We are having a chapter 5 test next week, so I want you to catch up with the learning.

Dictation: 男朋友,认识 and three random words from 1-13. So, yes, basically, you need to review all of them!

Today we reviewed the 生词（ core vocabulary). Please make sure you study them and review them. There will be no dictation and homwwork for Thursday since we are going to celebration Chinese New Year together by making dumplings. Please don't forget to bring the food you have signed up for: bing gan 饼干, dan gao 蛋糕，  yinliao 饮料  和 shu pian 薯片。
